Je suis Charlie

This is the original concluding moment of "The Gold Rush" when Charlie and Georgia are reunited on the ship going back to the lower 48 states from the Yukon.  Normally "the Tramp" was always headed away alone on a road at the end of Chaplin's films, to show his isolation.  This was not the case in the earlier feature "The Kid" (where Edna Purviance and Jackie Coogan reunite with him) and here, where he has helped "Big Jim" (Mack Swain) find his great gold claim (of which he owns half now) and he gets the girl.  Since this was so unusual for a Chaplin flick, the scene is show when he is being photographed for a newspaper when he starts kissing Georgia, and the photographer yells, "You've ruined the picture!!", but Charlie impatiently just waives the photographer and his protests away and continues kissing his girlfriend as the film ends.
